President's Evening

Saturday 15th September, 7:30 pm

Walkington House, Vane Terrace

This, the first function of the autumn season, is generally a talk by an enthusiast on a subject of general interest.

Past years have seen talks by a medic on an arctic expedition, a professional archaeologist, a musician from the Scottish Fiddle Orchestra and the Curator of the Preston Hall Museum. No subject is too large or too small provided the speaker is a true enthusiast in the subject.

This year we are delighted to have Max Macleod, son of the founder of the Iona Community, to talk to about his childhood on Iona and about the Community.

As with all our smaller functions, the Society catering team always do us proud with a magnificent buffet.
