"I play my part on my stage. I tell what I can to form the perfect
answer. But that answer cannot come before all are ready to hear.
So I tell what I can to form the perfect answer.
"Sometimes my anger at the fire is evident. Sometimes it is not
anger, really. It may appear as such, but could it be a clue?
The fire I speak of is not a kind fire."
- The Log Lady's Log is capable of observing events.
- Laura and Ronnette were both present at Jaques Renault's cabin in the woods.
- Waldo, Jaques' minor bird, witnessed the events at the cabin.
- The Log Lady had been expecting Cooper and Truman to call; she even said that they were
late. Does this imply some sort of psycic ability on her part?
- Hank Jennings has been released from prison.
- James Hurley and Donna Hayward have enlisted Maddy in their search for Laura's killer.
- Audrey has discovered that Emory Battis, the manager of Horne's, is sending girls from
the perfume counter to work at One Eyed Jacks.
- Who killed Laura Palmer? (See "Lonely Souls").
- Why does the Log Lady alone hear the "voice" of her log? Is there in fact anything there,
or is she just halucinating / dreaming that she hears a voice? (See Analysis )
- How did Laura and Ronnette get from the cabin to the train car? Did Jaques take them? (See "Lonely Souls").
- What useful information will be gained from Waldo the bird?
- What is Hank's connection to Josie? Is Norma aware of their mysterious link? (See Analysis )
- Now that James and Donna have Maddy's help, what are they going to do? (See "Realisation Time" ).
- Does Ben Horne know what Battis is doing? If not, how will he react when he finds out?
- Who killed Laura Palmer?
All the evidence still points to Leo Johnson, perhaps with the help of Jaques Renault.
- The Log Lady
Perhaps the Log is a link with another world. Truman says that there is something mysterious
in the local woods; perhaps the Log is a link to these powers. Another possibility is that
the Log is inhabited by the spirit of Margaret's husband. Maybe he communicates with her
through the Log. Perhaps he is in the White Lodge, (See "Dispute Between Brothers"
and beyond).
- Whatever link there is between Hank and Josie, she seems very scared of him. Perhaps he
is in possetion of information that could damage her, or perhaps he has some other hold
over her, perhaps related to the killing of the vagrant that caused him to he jailed. (See
"The Last Evening" ).
