"Hello again. Can you see through a wall? Can you see through human
skin? X-rays see through solid, or so-called solid objects. There
are things in life that exist, and yet our eyes cannot see them.
Have you ever seen something startling that others cannot see? Why
are some things kept from our vision? Is life a puzzle?
"I am filled with questions. Sometimes my questions are answered.
In my heart, I can tell if the answer is correct. I am my own judge.
"In a dream, are all the characters really you? Different aspects of
you? Do answers come in dreams?
"One more thing: I grew up in the woods. I understand many things
because of the woods. Trees standing together, growing alongside one
another, providing so much.
"I chew pitch gum. On the outside, let's say of the ponderosa pine,
sometimes pitch oozes out. Runny pitch is no good to chew. Hard,
brittle pitch is no good. But in between there exists a firm,
slightly crusted pitch with such a flavor. This is the pitch I chew."
- Cooper is visited by a Giant, who gives him three clues:
- There is a man in a smiling bag;
- The owls are not what they seem;
- Without chemicals, he points;
- Leo Johnson has survived, but is in a coma.
- After killing Jaques, Leyland's hair has turned white.
- Leyland's mood has changed drastically: he sings and dances merrily. (See Analysis ).
- Shelley and Pete are in hospital, but Catherine and Josie are missing.
- Maddy has had visions of "BOB" in her carpet.
- Ronnette is waking up, and remembers "BOB" being at the cabin. She also remembers "BOB"
killing Laura.
- Who killed Laura Palmer? (See "Lonely Souls").
- Who is "BOB"? Why has no one seen him in Twin Peaks, when he was definatly present at the
train car? (See Analysis ).
- Who is the Giant? Why is he helping Cooper, and why can he only give clues, not give
Cooper the answers? Who has forbidden him to say more?
- What has happenned to Catherine? Is she dead? Is she in hiding?
- Who killed Laura Palmer?
It is obvious that "BOB" killed Laura.
- Who is "BOB"?
According to Cooper's interpretation of his dream, Mike killed "BOB". Therefore, is "BOB"
a ghost? Or is "BOB" inhabiting somone else's body, in much the same way that the Log Lady's
husband may inhabit her log? (See "Demons" ).
- Leyland Palmer
Leyland's attitude has changed. From the peak of despair, he has miraculously changed into
someone with every appearence of not having a care in the world. Is this because he thinks
that Laura's murderer has been "brought to justice"? Or is something more sinister afoot?
(See "Demons" ).
