"Letters are symbols. They are building blocks of words which
form our languages. Languages help us communicate. Even with
complicated languages used by intelligent people, misunderstanding
is a common occurrence.
"We write things down sometimes--letters, words--hoping they will
serve us and those with whom we wish to communicate. Letters and
words, calling out for understanding."
- Doctor Jacoby, under hypnosis, remembered seeing Leland murder Jaques.
- Leland Palmer has been arrested.
- Harold Smith as a diary of Laura's.
- Jean Renault intends to take revenge on Cooper, who he sees as responsible for the
deaths of Bernard and Jaques.
- James and Maddy have become a lot closer, so much so that Donna is outraged.
- Dick Tremane could be the father of Lucy's baby.
- Maddy is upset because people "keep confusing her with Laura".
- Who killed Laura Palmer? (See "Lonely Souls").
- Who is the father of Lucy's baby, Dick or Andy?
- What will happen to Leland?
-
- Who killed Laura Palmer?
All the evidence still points to Leo Johnson, with the involvement of Jaques Renault. The
girls apparently went willingly to Jaques' cabin, and were taken away afterwards by Leo. But
was there a third man with them at the cabin?
- Maddy says that she is "nothing like Laura". Does this show that she knows much of
what Laura had been involved in? She has heard Jacoby's tape, and seen other evidence of
what Laura was like, such as the testimony of her friends and her involvement with Harold
Smith.
