"Food is interesting. For instance, why do we need to eat? Why
are we never satisfied with just the right amount of food to
maintain good health and proper energy? We always seem to want
more and more.
"When eating too much, the proper balance is disturbed and ill
health follows. Of course, eating too little food throws the
balance off in the opposite direction and there is the ill
health coming at us again.
"Balance is the key. Balance is the key to many things. Do we
understand balance? The word 'balance' has seven letters.
Seven is difficult to balance, but not impossible if we are
able to divide. There are, of course, the pros and cons of
division."
- Maddie Ferguson's body has been found.
- Bobby has a tape of Ben and Leo plotting to burn the mill, and intends to blackmail Ben
with it. Since Ben is already in jail, this might be hard.
- Leland Palmer has now been totally possessed by "BOB", and dances comulsivly, as well as
taking pleasure in the pain of others. All aspects of Leland's character have been overriden.
- Hank was in prison with Ernie, Norma's mother's new husband. Ernie is posing as a buisnessman
and has probably told many more lies about his past as well.
- Catherine has sent Ben a tape, telling him to sign over the mill to her at once.
- How much of Leland's past action has been "BOB"?
- How much longer can "BOB"/Leland go undiscovered?
- What will Bobby do with the tape? How will Ben respond to blackmail?
- Will Ben sign the mill away to Catherine? What about the Ghostwood project?
- It may be assumed that everything Leland has done since Maddie's murder is "BOB" alone. It
could also be argued that everything Leland has done since his hair turned white (like "BOB"'s)
has been "BOB". However, there are several occasions on which Leland is kind, thoughtful and
considerate, such as when he comforted Maddie before his arrest. It is hard to imagine "BOB"
behaving like this, even if it was a disguise.
- It can be assumed that "BOB" intended to kill Cooper with the golf club. Mike's re-capture
was all that saved him.
