WARNING! You can seriously mess up your system with this tool!
Remember you pressed the button, so if you break it, it's your fault.
You can also select a list of any of the following (OS allowing)
| Files | |
| Sockets | If a TCP/IP stack other than Termite is loaded |
| Font Handles | |
| Dynamic areas | Only in RISC OS 3.5 and later |
To use the tool first click on the type of handle etc you want to close, then click in the list that appears. As usual clicking with SELECT hilights one item, deselecting all the others. Clicking with ADJUST adds or subtracts the item clicked on from the selected items.
When one or more items in a list are selected clicking on the Close icon (Or selecting the Close menu option) will close that handle, socket or Dynamic Area.
Note Closing a Font Handle only close one Usage of that handle. So if a handle is being used 3 times, it can be close three times.
Closing File Handles, Sockets and Font Handles may break the applications that are using them. It also may lock up the machine depending on how the application handles the error.
Closing Dynamic Areas will be fatal to the application and RISC OS if it is an area created by the operating system. For this reason certain Dynamic areas can't be selected even though they are listed. (The list of unclosable Dynamic areas is in the DAList file)
Remember you pressed the button, if you break it it's your fault.
