What Do We Mean By Bespoke?
Bespoke software is software that is explicitly written for a client's individual needs. As such, it is often far more expensive than "off-the-shelf" solutions. At AIS, we combine the two, taking Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows, and customising it to meet your needs.
Why Pay For A Customised Version Of Microsoft Office
Put simply, Microsoft Office 97 and Office 2000 are really development platforms incorporating database, word-processing, spreadsheet, internet and presentation capabilities. All of these can be exposed and enhanced using Visual Basic For Applications, as well as Visual Basic and Visual C++.
At AIS, we look to adapt the functionality of Microsoft Office to meet your own specific needs. This way you end up with an industrial strength solution for only the cost of the License from Microsoft and the Customisation work from AIS.
What Does "Desktop Development" Mean?
Arnull Internet Services can offer you a wide range of services for your desktop, from customised Active Desktops, to applications that perform specific calculations, or other services as required.
How Much Will A Customised Solution Cost Me?
The first step is to request an initial consultation. This costs £60.00, and consists of a meeting on-site, and a written proposal based on your requirements. This is refundable if you then commission AIS to complete the software for you, or if AIS are unable to offer a solution to your requirements.
Assuming you decide to go ahead with AIS, we will then make a quotation for the whole project. This will be based on anticipated man-hours that will be required to complete the work, test it, and then to install it. This will vary dramatically from project to project, depending on individual requirements. The cost per hour is based on our standard rate of £40 per hour ( which equates to £320 per day ). This excludes the cost of any third-party software or licences required ( such as Microsoft Office)
