Welcome to the download area. Here you'll find some games for the ST,
STe and Falcon. I've tried my best to give a varied
selection of games, but I must admit that I'm a bit biased towards shoot-em-up's and
platform games. The selection will become more varied if you let me know what you want.

Action Bughunt by Paul Vincent (133403 BYTES) |
| This is an overhead view shoot-em-up set in space. Your job is to clear a
ship of an alien infestation using weapons and ammo found scattered around the
ship. The game will only run from floppy disk, it also works on a 520 ST. |
Alien Busters 4 by Daniel Fielding (202399 BYTES) |
| This is an overhead shoot-em-up game for between 2 to 5 players, although
you can have a 1 player game with the computer controlling the other players.
You can play solo or join together to form teams to try and kill all the other
players. The winners being the first to reach a set score. If you have an STe
then you get DMA samples. Needs 1 meg of memory. |
Ballsup by Poon Software (98406 BYTES) |
| A great little game by Nick Harper, the person behind Ozone. The idea
of the game is to guide a ball around an area using different blocks to change
direction or jump/bridge gaps. Avoid the obstacles and creatures and collect
the balls to progress to the next level. |
Best of Dave Munsie Volume 1 (594073 BYTES) |
| This Zip file contains 9 of Dave Munsie's games, compiled by the man himself,
it comes complete with a game selection menu so you can point and click at with one you want
to play. The games vary between needing 512k and 1 meg to run, see below. There's some classic
arcade conversions in there too. Also works on the Falcon. |

Cartoon Capers by Simon Cook (572635 BYTES) |
| A great cartoon style 1 or 2 player beat-em-up which is written in STOS.
There are 16 levels in this game, in the earlier ones it's just a straight
fight between Judo Jake and Karate Kat, But on later levels other objects
come into play, like bombs, buckets, boxing gloves and cars. The game likes
to be run from floppy disk, but it will work from hard drive if it's in the
root directory. |
Compact games #1 by various authors (31025 BYTES) |
| This Zip files contains 6 small but perfectly formed games. They include
Super breakout, no explanation needed there Flipem, a puzzle game

Japlish a vector shoot-em-up, and lastly Zap another shoot-em-up. |
Crapman by Synergy Software Development (164462 BYTES) |
| This Pacman clone was originally found in the Synergy Megademo. It's now been
released as a standalone version. Although a limited level version was released by
FUN this is the full 50 level version by Mr. Ni of TOS-Crew. Needs 1 meg of memory,
also works on the Falcon. |
Cybernetix by Vision Software (99569 BYTES) |
| This commercial quality game is a cross between Asteroids and defender. The
idea of the game is to clear the screen of asteroids, at the same time as evading
marauding aliens. Take too long clearing the screen and more aliens appear making
the game harder. If you're lucky enough you'll get power-ups that will make your
life a bit easier. |
Darklyte by Howard Tilley (84907 BYTES) |
| This STOS written game is similar to Space Crusade and Hero's Quest. The general
idea of the game is to move your small army of droids around a board trying to defeat
the enemy, all the while protecting your commander droid. There is a lot more to this
game than there seems. Just download the game and play it, you'll see what I mean. |
Deadland by Justin Ward (174937 BYTES) |
| A great little game that is a cross between Cannon Fodder and Dune. The
idea of the game is to try and build a rocket to escape a hostile planet.
There are 2 game variations, one being a straight forward escape scenario,
the second is where you have to control life support systems and escape!
Needs 1 meg of memory, also works on the Falcon. |
Donkey Island by Ed Cleveland (315470 BYTES) |
| A brilliant point and click graphic adventure that was inspired by Day
Of The Tentacle from the P.C. Ed has stopped work on this game, but if enough
people write to him asking him to finish it, maybe he will. Works on all ST's
with 1 meg of memory. |
Fuzzball by M. Pezzotta (45834 BYTES) |
| What a great little game this is. It's a Q-Bert clone that was written
quite a while ago. Q-Bert is a game where you have to change the colour of
tiles on a platformed pyramid by jumping on them, while all the time you are
being harassed by creatures and bouncing balls. |
Goin' down with the Captain by Terry King (116906 BYTES) |
| An excellent platform game where you have to collect life bouys that are
scattered around a ship. Your quest is hampered by leaks (which you have to patch)
and crabs that do their best to kill you. |
Hardcore by Jeff Minter (159384 BYTES) |
| This is a beta test demo version of a game that Jeff Minter was working
on back in 1992. It's an insanely fast shoot-em-up where the player controls
5 guns. The object of the game, as with all Jeff Minter ones is to shoot
everything in sight. Needs 1 meg of memory. |
Hellgate by SmartSOFT (274373 BYTES) |
| A Doom type game that runs on an ST, well yes it is, and it's entirely
coded in STOS and uses the STOS 3D extension. It was revieved in issue 9 of
Atari Computing and received 71%. It's has a few glitches, but it's still
very playable. |
Hotwheels by John Gymer (88983 BYTES) |
| It's not exactly Super Cars, but his little 1 or 2 player racing game will
keep you amused for a while. You can configure just about everything from the
colour of the cars to the collision detection. If you get bored with the supplied
levels you can make your own with the level editor that's included. |
Jet Set Willy by Paul Taylor & Carl Whitwell (25623 BYTES) |
| Yes that's right the Spectrum classic has been converted for the ST. It was
written in 1990 and it has only just surfaced. A pixel perfect copy, it really
is. Keyboard or joystick controlled, also keys 1-5 control the speed of the game.
Try running it on a Falcon! |
Marbles v0.9 by Peylow of T.O.Y.S. (50680 BYTES) |
| This STOS coded puzzle game is based on one that came with the Windows 98
plus package. The idea is to match at least 3 marbles of the same colour to
make them disappear, while all the time more and more are added to the board.
A very addictive game that was released at IMP7. |
Michigan Mike & the lost city of Zorog by Gordon Storey (113129 BYTES) |
| A big title for a great little platform game written by Gordon for his 5
year old son. Originally aimed at smaller children, but that doesn't stop us
adults having a go. Winner of the ST Format (R.I.P.) game writing competition.
This new updated version is hard drive friendly, works on a 520 ST. |
Missile Alert by Robert Leong (38249 BYTES) |
| This ex-Budgie title game is a clone of Missile Command, but with the added
option of having 2 players at the same time, one controls a missile silo, the
other controls a tank. This setup makes for good gameplay. |
Phantom Slayer by CP-3-69 (124289 BYTES) |
| This is based on a game that was written for the Dragon 32 which was
also called Phantom Slayer. The game looks like a Wolfenstein clone, it plays
like it too. The idea of the game is to make your way around a labyrinth,
avoiding or killing droids and finding the exit. If you manage to find it
you'll be taken down to the next level. |
Powercut by Powerfist (194452 BYTES) |
| This is an ex-Powerfist Licenceware game, the aim of this game is to
locate and destroy 25 power bases that are located in a subterranean power
complex. You have limited ammunition and fuel, but supplies are scattered
around the complex. Needs 1 meg of memory. |
Sinister Developments collection (681101 BYTES) |
| Undoutably the kings of the arcade conversions. Sadly they've stopped
doing games for the ST a while back, add to that the fact that their Web Site
has disappeared too. But fear not you can get all their ST games here, they
include Asteroids, Centipede, Galaxians, Painter
and Space Invaders. |
Spiral Mile Games by Spiral Mile Software (241902 BYTES) |
| Here we have a couple of excellent games. The first is a playable demo of
a platform game called Hoog. The other game, called Graveyard is
a space shoot-em-up much like the old arcade game Sinistar. |
Super Pacman by Ed Cleveland (65116 BYTES) |
| Yet another Pacman clone, but wait, this is a good one. Everything
from the normal Pacman game is here, power pills and ghosts. But, this
one also keys and freeze pills and some really good samples. Try to get
the Kenneth Williams bonus!? Works on all ST's. |
Towers by J.V. Enterprises (376898 & 478102 BYTES) |
| This is version 1.5 of their Dungeon Master type game. It's now
been released as shareware and you are able to play the whole game
without having to buy the manual. You'll need both Zip files to run
the game, and at least 1 meg of memory. |
Walz by Mario Perdue (94540 BYTES) |
| We have all played Breakout in one form or another over the years.
So it should come as no surprise as to what this game is all about.
Unlike most of the others this is a GEM version, and it has all the
features that you'd expect from breakout. If your machine has a DMA
chip, then you get sampled sound. Works in most resolutions with more
than 16 colours. |
Wyrd Ways by S. Drummond and C. Fraser (498085 BYTES) |
| This is a great little strategic type beat-em-up. The idea is to
make your way around a labyrinth type maze collecting power-up's. When
you've collected all of them you then have to beat up all the other
players. Runs on all ST's with at least 1 meg of memory. |

A.F.L. Pro Football by Brendan O'Brien (268751 BYTES) |
| If you've ever played Team on the STe you'll know all about Football
sims. Well this is the best American Football sim I've ever seen. This
was going to be a commercial release, but the author decided to release
it as shareware. Needs 1 meg of memory. |
Bombaman by Kevin Callahan (244893 BYTES) |
| Yet another Bomberman clone, but wait, this one claims to be the fastest
and most fun. I won't comment, instead I'll let you decide. This game has a 3
round and 4 player limit. So register and get the full version. Kevin has
promised to release more games for the STe if enough people register. Needs
1 meg of memory. May work on the Falcon. |
Breakdance by Paranoia (370243 BYTES) |
| This is a very simple yet very addictive game for upto 6 players. You
take control of various Atari scene members who have to follow dance moves,
get it right and you can add your own. The winner being the last person to
make a mistake. Needs 1 meg of memory, also works on the Falcon. |
Operation Garfield by Dave Brankin (167874 BYTES) |
| This is an Operation Wolf clone, but with a difference. You take on an
alien race disguised as Garfield. Works on a 520 STe and also the Falcon. |
Skulls by Soderberg Software (23209 BYTES) |
| This is a Minesweeper clone that is very pleasing on the eye. You
can also have music while you're playing this game (memory permitting)
by having an unpacked Noisetracker module in the same directory
as the game. Doesn't work on Falcon's though. |
Starball (special edition) by Volume 11 software (537982 BYTES) |
| The best P.D. pinball has just got a whole lot better. Now this special
edition version comes with sound samples that really add to the atmosphere
of the game. This version also works on the Falcon. |
Stupid Balloon Game by Ed Cleveland (45735 BYTES) |
| This game was released at the Reservoir Gods 98 Cwmvention. A simple yet
addictive 24 hour game which involves guiding a balloon around caverns
collecting stars. It also works on the Falcon. |
Trace by Typhoon (378142 BYTES) |
| A great Tron type clone for 2 to 3 players with the added bonus of power-ups. It
comes in 1 and 520k versions, although an STe at least is highly recommended, it
will run on normal ST's. Also works on the Falcon. |

Blum by Trigon Software (361834 BYTES) |
| This is a playable 1 level demo of a platform game much like Rayman or Willie's
Adventures. It still has quite a few rough edges that need sorting out, but it'll
have to do while we all wait for Willie's Adventures to be finished. |
Bunion Canyon by The Reservoir Gods (469505 BYTES) |
| Another game released at the 98 Cwmvention. Up to 4 people can play at the
same time in this 24 hour game, which is based on a Spectrum game called Jumping
Jack. A very addictive multiplayer game. |
Classic games by various authors (214263 BYTES) |
| You'll find 8 reworked versions of some classic games here. They include
Boulderdash, Blockout, a 3D Tetris type game, Deminer, a
Minesweeper clone, Jewel, a Columns type game, Kakanoid, an Arkanoid
clone Qbert, Sokoban and Warzone a 2 player vector graphic
battle game. These games were originally in a C programming archive that I found
a while back. Some games are in French |
DB Phone Home by Peylow and AiO (33128 BYTES) |
| Another amazing 4k game, this time is a run and jump platformer like Super
Mario Brothers, but in this one you've got to get DB (an alien) home. The source
code is also included so you can see exactly how they managed to do it. |
Doom V.025 by Patrice Mandin (233411 BYTES) |
| This is the latest version of his Doom engine which uses the Linuxxdoom
source code, it is a lot more advanced and more playable than the Doom emulator
by Lord Chaos. All major bugs have now been fixed plus it now has sound and
network support (if you use mint), but no music. It still doesn't use the DSP,
so there's still a lot more speed to come. All the latest versions will always
be available here. |
| Patrice also started a Doom clone before the original sources became
available, this one is currently at version (0.81),
it uses the DSP so it's quicker than his other Doom engine. Unfortunately
it isn't a 100 percent complete playable version. You can wander around the
levels opening doors and using switches, but you can't fire and the monsters
don't move or fire at you. On the plus side though you can have music in the
game, but only if you have a Midi instruments file.
Also if you need it, here is the Shareware version of the
Doom Wad file. (51882 BYTES),(1304066 BYTES),(1759994 BYTES). |
Doom Emulator Engine V.040 by Lord Chaos (161599 BYTES) |
| A very early version which has been converted from the original C source.
Very slow, even on a Falcon running Nemesis. If anyone have a later version
let me know. I'd like a copy of it. |
Heretic V.024 by Patrice Mandin (211483 BYTES) |
| This is the latest version of his Heretic engine which uses the Linuxx source code.
All major bugs have now been fixed plus it now has sound and network support
(if you use mint), but no music. It still doesn't use the DSP, so there's still a
lot more speed to come. If you need it, and you probably will, here is the Shareware
version of the Heretic Wad file (2322990 BYTES).
All the latest versions will always be available here. |
Hexen V.024 by Patrice Mandin (261308 BYTES) |
| This is the latest version of his Hexen engine which uses the Linuxx source code.
All major bugs have now been fixed plus it now has sound and network support
(if you use mint), but no music. It still doesn't use the DSP, so there's still a
lot more speed to come. If you need it, and you probably will, here is the Shareware
version of the Hexen Wad file (5151844 BYTES).
All the latest versions will always be available here. |
'K' by EXA (1151547 BYTES) |
| This is an early playable preview version (0.01), of an excellent Mario
Kart type clone that should appear in the very near future. Download it, play
it, then encourage the authors to get it finished. The game must be started
in hi rez (640 x 480/400) 256 colour mode. |
Men at War by Fun (501003 BYTES) |
| This is the last preview of the latest 2 player game by Fun. Based on the
old Atari 2600 game tanks, but with men. It's limited to 10 minutes play time.
Download it, play it, and E-mail the author and encourage him to finish it. |
Moongames by Gilles Audoly and others (4310145 BYTES) |
| This is the Follow up game to Moonspeeder, and it was released as freeware.
Basically it's a clone of a SNES game called F-Zero. There's a 2 player option,
where you can race against a friend in a split-screen environment. You qualify
for your place on the grid by racing around a labyrinth, the sooner you finish,
the higher your grid position. After completing 2 races you enter a bonus round
where you have the chance of winning extra credits. Have you got what it takes
to compete in 15 races and win the championship? |
Neurobotix by Earx (541697 BYTES) |
|
Offworld Security by Gregory Brown (420066 BYTES) |
| A Defender style game where you have to save pods and kill all aliens to
progress to the next of 8 levels. There's no ship in this game, instead you get
a jetpack which is tricky to control. Register the game and you get a version
where the smart bombs are enabled. |
Push It by Jeremy Gillet (184271 BYTES) |
| This is a Sokoban type clone. Originally written for the ST but this is a
Falcon specific version, although it doesn't take full advantage of the Falcon's
extra hardware. Unlike other Sokoban clones this one uses a 3D style perspective. |
Radical Race by Pentagon (4706866 BYTES) |
| This once commercial racing game has now been released as freeware. It's a 1 or 2 player
game much in the same style as Super Sprint, but with bombs and bullets. There are 16 different
tracks for you to race around and a shop so you can update your weaponry and make your life
a bit easier. |
Reeking Rubber V0.90 by Nature (654200 BYTES) |
| Work is well under way on this racing game that was previously known as Lotus.
Although it's a long way from completion it's still a very playable preview of what's to
come. All the latest updates to this game will be available on this Web Site. The authors
need help with graphics for the game, get in touch and see if you can help. |
Slippery Sam by Bonus Software/FUN (242546 BYTES) |
| Almost everyone should know this game in one version or another. It's the game where
you are a worm and have to eat stuff while avoiding your tail and other obstacles that are
scattered around the screen. This version has music, samples, nice graphics and can be
controlled by either keyboard, joystick or Jagpad. |
Snatch by The Match/FUN (728380 BYTES) |
| A great little strategic puzzle game much like Othello. You
can play either a human or computer opponent, who is very hard to beat.
Comes complete with a level editor. Released at Interjam 98. |
Sokoban by The Match/FUN (338179 BYTES) |
| There's no need to explain what this game is all about. Comes
complete with a level editor. Needs a VGA monitor. Released at
Interjam 98. |
Technoball by Pascal Ognibene (3065226 BYTES) |
| Before you start, yes it's another Tetris clone. But this one has
more to it than that. It has the normal style gameplay and bonuses, but
after every 5th level you have to fight an end of level boss. The graphics
are excellent and there's some thumping techno tunes in the background. This
game was once shareware but is now freeware, hopefully this Tetris clone
might work for all the CT2 owners out there who can't get Impulse to run
on their Falcon.
|
Toy-Man by Peylow of T.O.Y.S. (4716 BYTES) |
| A 4k Pacman game done at the 96 NAS convention. It's amazing to
see what can be done in 4k. |
Vertical Mayhem by Martin Griffiths (278179 BYTES) |
| This is a Columns clone with 10 levels of increasing difficulty
and 2 game variations each with it's own music and difficulty levels. |
