ZX SPECTRUM

[download] ZX Spectrum emulator V2.07 by Christian Gandler (591593 BYTES)
This emulator works on all Atari machines and needs 1 meg of memory to run. It operates in either ST high or low resolution. Also with the emulator are a couple of programs that will come in handy when you need to transfer programs from the spectrum (if you still own one) over to your Atari. One of the best Speccy emulators around on any platform.

Below you'll find several ZX Spectrum games archives. If you are looking for a particular game for the ZX Spectrum emulator and you can't find it in any of the archives below then go to the Visitors Book. If you can't remember the name, give as much detail about the game as possible. If I've got it I'll E-mail to you, so make sure that your E-mail address is correct. Now that's what I call service.

ZX81

[download] ZX81 Emulator by Christoph Zwerschke (72360 BYTES)
As well as emulating the ZX Spectrum on the Atari you can also emulate the ZX81. This was one of the first, cheap (at the time) mass produced computers of the early 80's. I owned one of these black boxed marvels and I spent many a happy hour bashing away (literally) at it's micro film keyboard, taking great care not to wobble the 16k Ram Pack that was lodged into the back of it. So download this archive if you are wondering what computing was like way back in the distant 80's. Runs on all ST's.

This archive contains 90 games that will run on the ZX81 emulator. I won't go into detail and list them all, that would take ages. I'll just say that some of them are a testament to what could be done with Sir Clive's black wedge. My favourite is Damper.

TRS 80

This is the 2nd life TRS 80 model III emulator. It runs on all Atari machines and even PC's and Macs running Atari emulators (dual emulation!) in high resolution. It's a complete archive which also contains virtual disks full of games. Not having owned one of these machines I can't really comment on how it emulates the original. It's easy to set up and get running though, with a FAQ if you're really stuck.
