with Examples
- Red text anywhere in the calendar pages indicates a new event, or a change to the hardcopy information.
- These entries give complete information about AUK's events including distance, max and min speeds, time and date, facilities, maximum entry, closing date, organiser's name, address, club and 'phone.
- Line 1: Distance in kilometres. Date. Start place with nearest town if necessary. Name of event.
- Line 2: Start time. Day of the week. Or alternative start dates for Darts and Arrows.
AUK classification: BRM Brevet de Randonneurs Mondiaux, BAUK Brevet Audax UK, BP Brevet Populaire, Touristique.
Audax Altitude Award points classification eg AAA1½. Entry Fee - cheques made out to organiser.
Facilities: A(1>Phil) free/reasonably priced accommodation, one night, bookings to Phil.
C camping at or near the start. F some free food &/or drink provided on the ride.
L secur(ish) left luggage facilities at start. P free or reasonably priced motor parking at start. R free or reasonably priced refreshments at start &/or finish. T toilets at start.
(175) entries close at 175 riders. (14/4) entries close on 14th April. 15-30 min and max average overall speeds.

- To enter an Event send a completed entry form, entry fee (cheque made out to organiser), and two medium-sized, stamped, self-addressed envelopes to the organiser to arrive at least a fortnight before the event (to allow the organiser to order the correct number of brevet cards).Arrows and Darts (both Events and Permanents) should include a list of your proposed controls.
- Events appearing in the Audax UK Calendar are open to all cyclists. You do not have to be a member of AUK. However non-members are required to add £0.50 to each entry fee - this provides insurance cover for the duration of the event.
- Mudguards are required for events of 200km and over, and many events include some riding in hours of darkness, so good lighting is also required.
