INT: A CORRIDOR ABOARD BABYLON FIVE

[Lorien and Sheridan are talking after Sheridan has helped a young lady to her feet as she was almost trampled in a crowd]

Lorien: You heard?

Sheridan: I heard.

Lorien: They need to believe.

Sheridan: Not in me.

Lorien: You can't save them all.

Sheridan: I can try.

Lorien: You'll fail.

Sheridan: We'll see.

INT: THE WAR COUNCIL CHAMBERS ABOARD BABYLON FIVE

[Lorien & Lyta enter. Sheridan, Franklin and Ivanova are sitting around the table]

Sheridan: We're ready. Has Lorien explained everything to you?

Lyta: I don't know if I can do this but I'll try.

Lorien: Remember Sheridan. The Shadows were able to kill Kosh because they are alike. Both first ones. For you this will be much more difficult. You've never seen a Vorlon enraged. They are more powerful than you can imagine.

Franklin: Err… Captain, what exactly are we talking about here/

Sheridan: Millions of peoples lives are at stake here Stephen. If the Ambassador stays billions more will die. So we're going to take out the Vorlon. Any way we can.

INT: A CORRIDOR NEAR THE EXIT FROM AMBASSADOR KOSH'S QUARTERS.

[Kosh II has a "grip" on Sheridan, Lorien appears around the corner and nods at Sheridan]

Lorien: Now!

[The last remaining essence of Kosh I leaves Sheridan's body who then falls to the floor. The two Vorlons battle each other in mid-air]

Delenn: It's Kosh. Kosh was inside him.

Lorien: Yes. The last of Kosh. And some of him, and some of me.

EXT: THE SPACE OUTSIDE OF BABYLON FIVE.

[The two Vorlons break through the ceiling and escape the station, both head toward the departing Vorlon transport and it explodes.]

INT: THE SAME CORRIDOR WHERE THE FIGHT TOOK PLACE AND SHERIDAN FELL.

Delenn: John!

[Delenn runs forward and Lorien hurries after.]

Lorien: No wait! His life force must be replenished.

[Lorien places his hand on Sheridan's back and a white light glows between the two.]

Delenn: Is this how you brought him back from Za'Ha'Dum?

[Lorien closes his eyes and nods.]

Lorien: Mmm, I give of myself to replenish him,… for a little while.

Delenn: How long?

Lorien: Long enough.

[Lorien pulls away, looking tired and shaken.]

INT: SHERIDAN'S QUARTERS.

[Delenn enters Sheridan's quarters, Lorien and Sheridan are there talking]

Delenn: John. Ivanova told me you wanted to see me.

Sheridan: Yes. There's something,… I didn't want to tell you at first but when I heard what you asked Lorien,… you have a right to know.

Delenn: To know what?

Lorien: He was gravely wounded at Za'Ha'Dum. He was dying. He was dead. I did all I could to help him,… but, I cannot create life. Only the Universe can do that. I can extend, enhance, there is no magic, nothing spiritual about it. Only the application of energies, healing and rebuilding cells.

Sheridan: I had Franklin do a complete med-scan. He found,… things,… in my neuro-system. Some kind of bio-chemical energy. Repairing and sustaining me. He's never seen anything like it before.

Lorien: I did the best I could. I gave him back a portion of his life, but only a portion.

Delenn: How long?

[Lorien looks at Sheridan and Sheridan nods back]

Lorien: In human terms, barring injury and illness, perhaps twenty years. But no more than that.

Delenn: Twenty years!

Sheridan: I'll be in my early sixties by then. It's a good run Delenn.

Delenn: You told me humans live to be one hundred years old, even older. You can't,…

Lorien: Twenty years. NO more. And then one day, he will just,… Stop.

[Cut from Lorien to Delenn to Sheridan]

Sheridan: Can we have a moment.

[Lorien nods and walks toward the door, as he passes Delenn he turns and looks at her, as if lost in thought and contemplation, and walks out the door.]
