The item above is a recent addition and run to encourage social and players already familiar with a game to give it a go at a Club. The sessions are more relaxed and friendly and can include Chicago as well as rubber. Sometimes one or two more experienced section members attend and make up at the sessions or provide hints and tips on bridge playing. Open to all Brookdale members including non section members.
Thursday evening 7.30 - 10.40pm
Friday afternoon 1.15 - 4.20pm
Monday evening 7.30 - 10.45pm October to March
We also hold an annual individual Tournament in March and a Multiple Teams event in June
At present time the section has 3 teams in the Manchester League.

In addition to our regular sessions of Rubber and Duplicate Bridge, Open Bridge Drive are held once a month on Saturdays commencing at 7.30pm. with good prizes. Visitors are always welcome. The following are the dates of our Open Bridge Drives 2007:
Bridge is a social game. A recent initiative, which many of our members enjoy, is a long weekend at a country hotel. To celebrate the Millennium we stayed at Conwy, North Wales. More recently we decided to visit Malham where, in addition to playing bridge, our members enjoyed walking, swimming, dining and evening entertainment.

An annual Bridge Luncheon is held at the club for our newly installed Vice President and its success is largely due to the help provided by our own members.
Occasionally we hold coffee mornings and bridge lessons, open to all Brookdale members, which have proved very popular.
New members to the Bridge Section are always welcome. Anyone interested in joining should contact one of the following via the link or at the club directly.
