During this time I have increasingly used reclaimed timbers such as Pitch Pine,Yellow pine, European Redwood, Spruce and reclaimed hardwoods, when available. I source these timbers from the structural timbers of old mills and and whiskey distillery warehouses that are being demolished.

This gives me access to close grained very well seasoned quality timbers that are frequently no longer available as new timber.

It is also environmentally friendly, making no further demands on the worlds depleted forests.

Whatever the commission, the methods of construction cut no corners and traditional joints such as wedged mortise and tenon are used throughout.
