Tables ____ These tables are simply designed and constructed to last for generations. The design is straightforward and functional using proven traditional techniques. They will neither be in or out of fashion and will never look dated. All the timber used in their construction is reclaimed from 19th century mills, distilleries, factories and warehouses. They are either Pitch Pine throughout or Pitch Pine tops with painted reclaimed Yellow Pine, Spruce, or Redwood bases. The use of reclaimed timber not only makes no demands on what is left of the hard pressed forests of the world, but also allows access to timber from slow grown virgin forests felled 100 to 200 years ago. These trees would have been 200 to 500 years old themselves. They yield dense grained timber of a quality simply not available from replanted second growth forests The Pitch Pine is finished with Tung oil. This is a completely natural, non toxic oil that gives a very hard wearing, water resistant low maintenance matt finish that enhances both the beauty and the feel of the wood.
