“When we undertake work for our customers, assuming complete responsibility for the project is not possible in today's legislative framework. However, we identify strongly with out clients' best interests and ensure that these are maintained throughout the term of the project. We believe our clients recognise and value this responsible approach to contracting, and the level of repeat business we achieve would appear to validate this philosophy.”
Keith James, Managing Director

About Celtic Recycling

Celtic Recyling Ltd is the country's leading specialist in the recover and processing of electrical plant. Set up six years ago, the company has an impressive portfolio of some of the most prestigious names in the industry, including 13 regional electricity companies, the National Grid Company, generating companies and many major contractors and manufacturers.

A £750,000 investment at the custom-built premises near Bridgend in South Wales has resulted in the most modern site in the country. Its state-of-the-art facilities exceed the most stringent environmental demands and can receive and process all types of electrical equipment, including plant contaminated with special wastes such as mercury, asbestos and PCBs.

Celtic Recycling operates throughout the UK. Highly-trained dismantling teams undertake primary and distribution equipment removal, often within the confines of live HV substations. Health and Safety is paramount and all personnel receive extensive training through the company's own Investors in People programme and from client-based training centres.

The company has also achieved accreditation to ISO 9002, the international Quality Management standard, and is the sole electrical plant dismantler and processor in the UK to achieve certification to ISO 140001 (formerly BS7750), the Environmental Management standard.

Further recognition of the company's commitment to occupational safety came from the Health and Safety Executive, which has featured the company in a training video to illustrate safe working practices in the industry.

Celtic Recycling has achieved an enviable reputation for reliability and professionalism from all sectors of the electricity industry. With its commitment to providing a comprehensive disposal service which satisfies all health and safety and environmental demands and to continuous improvement, the company fully intends to maintain its position at the forefront of the industry.
