 The long awaited Library opened its doors on 3 August 2001. This building complex has changed this part of the town which had been a forlorn, empty space since the demolition of the Harris factory.
My early forays for pictures were thwarted by scaffolding and hoardings. Today the area is transformed. The Library is in full swing, the ajoining units in use as shops and café, the riverside landscaped.
