Melksham lies about thirteen miles south of Junction 17 of the M4, on the A350. This puts it just to the south of the Cotswolds and north of the Mendips.

Near to Bath, Bristol, the villages of Castle Combe & Lacock, Melksham is an ideal base for touring the area. These pages contain essential information for the first time visitor to the town.

Plenty in these pages for residents too, the pages are packed with addresses and 'phone numbers. Check out the events page and don't forget to make your contribution there!

If you came to this page looking for something that doesn't fall immediately into one of the categories alongside, use the search facility.

"yourguide to Melksham" is one in a series covering the towns of North Wiltshire. That's North as in "towards the top", not as defined by the District Council boundaries ! If there's something going on of interest, we have even been known to stray over into Gloucestershire and Somerset.

"yourguide" needs you. Have you got something to say? Or perhaps you belong to a group who would like to be represented in yourguide to Melksham. If so, please get in touch.
Contributions from individuals and organisations in the Melksham area always welcome.
