Name: Christopher Mettem
Location: Naphill, HP14 4QJ, Bucks.
Homepage: http://www.trada.co.uk/
Interest: Timber Frame Buildings
Comments: I am compiling a history of timber framed buildings. My aim is to link well authenticated buildings (whole buildings and/or carpentry roofs) and locations where I can either take good quality photos from the public footpath/common or green, without intruding on peoples privacy, OR where I can conveniently obtain permission, without much fuss. Both vernacular and grander buildings are of interest.
This may eventually be published, and full acknowledgements would in that case be given, together with a warning to respect owners' privacy. Buildings that have a known case history of restoration work would be especially appreciated.
As I am a Senior Visiting Research Fellow at Univesity of Bath, N. Wilts is a particularly convenient hunting ground.
Thanks in anticipation.
