Conservation Activities include rubbish, bramble and scrub clearance, hedgerow and tree planting, pond clearance and landscaping, the development of an interpreted nature trail and creating rides through the woods, the restoration of a public footpath and woodland work.

Heavy Duties There are some heavy jobs to be done. They include fencing, ditching and laying water pipes, among other things.

Caring for the Horses Jobs with the horses include feeding, grooming, mucking out, exercising and working, harness cleaning and repairs.

Equipment Restoration The Trust owns a large collection of horse-drawn agricultural equipment, much of it over 40 years old and in need of restoration. This will include de-rusting, painting, some woodwork and metal work - generally getting everything into good working order.

Fundraising The Trust is totally dependent on its own efforts for funding. Help is often needed to deliver leaflets, collect jumble, put up posters, rattle collection pots and to join in events such as our Sponsored Walk, Race Evening etc.

Office Duties These involve helping with correspondence, keeping up to date with membership records, preparing mailings, answering the telephone, doing the accounts etc.

Public Appearances The Trust attends many heavy horse shows and local fetes/events. It will also open to the public in future. Many hands are needed to make sure that we can be in more than one place at once and that the horses and the public are both well looked after.
