U2AWOD This is a package of programs, data, and documentation, for decoding and processing OSCAR-11 ASCII whole orbit data (WOD). The processed data may be plotted using a spread sheet program, or the special graph plotting program SPLOT.EXE. Details of this program, and how to get it are included in the documentation. TOSPLOT This is the latest version of TOSPLOT.BAS (v 1.2 dated 24-March-1999) which is part of the U2WOD package. Unfortunately there was an error in the previous version of TOSPLOT, which caused problems when processing WOD surveys with dates after 1998. The current version of U2WOD has been updated, but if you downloaded this package BEFORE 27-March-1999 then you should download this new version of TOSPLOT.BAS. Note TOSPLOT is only required if you wish to use the SPLOT plotting program. No other files in the U2AWOD package have been changed. File size 2K.
ORBILL This is an advanced package for processing OSCAR-11 whole orbit data (WOD). The program adds calculated solar eclipse data to sorted WOD data, which may then be plotted using a spread sheet program. This enables effect of solar eclipse conditions upon the satellite's temperatures, and power supply variables to be demonstrated.
The package contains a QBASIC program, documentation, and sample data files. Users should be familiar with U2AWOD, and some knowledge of using a spreadsheet and QBASIC is recommended. File size 153K.
U2MAG1 This is a VERY advanced package for processing OSCAR-11 whole orbit magnetometer data. The program adds calculated the calculated magnetic field to sorted WOD data, which may then be plotted using a spread sheet program. This enables the measured magnetic field to be compared with the theoretical field, as calculated from a mathematical model.
The package contains QBASIC programs, documentation, sample data files, and a geomagnetic reference package. Users must be familiar with CTERM, U2AWOD, ORBILL, QBASIC, and spreadsheet operation. This is a VERY advanced package! File size 724K.
U2PKT This is a decoding program for the packet telemetry, single event upset, and engineering data of OSCAR-11. The program is coded in BBC BASIC, and can be run on a standard PC by using the interpreter, which is included in the package. Both analogue and status telemetry may be displayed, and the program can easily be modified to suit individual requirements. File size 124K.
