ELDERCARE

CCM is in regular contact with approximately 45 local elderly people. Many of these meet together every 2 weeks for lunch and an afternoon of activity. There is currently a waiting list for places as we can only cope with 35 each time.

We have 2 volunteers who help with our Visiting Service. The elderly very much appreciate this.

We have recently run our annual and very popular Holiday at Home Week - the pictures below show how much this was appreciated and enjoyed.

The programme continues to foster relationship within the local community being part of NE Area Co-ordination's "Old Peoples Forum and Barry Hatfield , Eldercare Co-ordinator, is also involved in weekly outings to various centres locally in conjunction with New deals for Community and using the mini-bus they have provided.

Meanwhile our own programme of after lunch activities continues to challenge and entertain.
