I am a Church Army Officer and therefore a full-time minister in the Church of England. I live and work in the Anglican Diocese of Rochester which covers the western half of the county of Kent and part of South East London.I am employed by the diocese as the Assistant Diocesan Director of Education & Diocesan Adviser in Youth Work. This means that I spend my time advising parishes on the work they do with young people (aged 13 to 25), providing training for leaders, organising events and offering support and resources to leaders and young people.
The Youth Work Services provided by the Diocese are part of the National Church of England Youth Services.
In addition to my job in the Rochester Diocese I am also National Secretary of the Diaconal Association of the Church of England. This is a professional association for all those engaged in formal diaconal ministry in the Church of England and other Anglican Churches in the United Kingdom. (Full details are given on the DACE Web Pages). DACE is a member of the DIAKONIA World Federation of Diaconal Associations and Diaconal Communities. DIAKONIA is divided into three regions and I was appointed as Treasurer to the DIAKONIA Region Africa Europe in March 1999.
I have been using the Internet since January 1996 and have published Web pages for both the Diocese of Rochester and the Diaconal Association of the Church of England.
