THE POINTS SYSTEM

To ensure as far as possible that every angler has an equal chance in the Competition no matter what his boat draw the event will be fished on a points system. The points are calculated as above to give each angler an initial points total. The top angler on each boat is then given 100 points. Every other angler on the boat is then given points which consists of their initial points total as a percentage of the top angler’s initial points total.

The species points will be a system similar to that used in Stornoway but anglers will receive the points for each fish not just the first of each species.
