Fathers Ted and Dougal found themselves invited to host a famous charity event, Comic Relief. They arrive on stage on horseback, to the tune of "My Lovely Horse". Dougal is very excited and all mixed up about Comic Relief and Live Aid.

Ted, on his part is genuinely puzzled how such a honour could have been bestowed upon two completely unknown priests from the West of Ireland. But Dougal has an idea why... He reckons God planned it all, to give Ted a chance to redeem himself over his dark past, namely the time when he allegedely blew all the charity funds in his care, on a gambling spree in Las Vegas.

Poor Ted, completely embarrassed in front of the audience, attempts yet again to clear his name. He eventually goes along with his curates' theory .

OK, what'll do is: God will forgive me if we can raise over £8 million - that'll give God a chance to forgive me all my sins ................................................................................................. Let's do it!

They've done very well. ....... ........Oh. look at that, that is a huge number, Ted .... what are they giong to do with all this money..? Surely, it can't all go to us....

No, no Dougal it just means that God's forgiven me! .........God, if you've forgiven me, send me a sign?????????
