Mayor judges bonnets

The Mayor tries to make his mind up The Mayor of Durham, Cllr George Cowper was at Arden House this Easter to judge the Easter bonnets made by the society's day care groups.

He and the Mayoress had a hard job deciding which "day" would win, and there were sure to be some disappointed faces whichever did, because as the Mayor said, they were all so good.

The Mayor and Mayoress stayed for a cup of tea and chat with some of those present, and Cllr Cowper found an old friend with whom he sat and chatted about old times.

Our thanks to the Mayor, who has chosen the society as one of this charities for his year of office.
