The Aims of The Alzheimer's Society
- To give support to families and others by linking them through membership, branches and support groups.
- To provide practical help and information on Alzheimer's disease and related disorders; and on the services, benefits and other resources available for people with dementia and carers, from health and social services, voluntary organisations and the private sector.
- To provide guidance for the carer and training for professionals concerned with people with dementia and carers.
- To promote and press publicly for adequate and high quality services.
- To promote and disseminate research findings and help advance the frontiers of knowledge about the disease.
- To raise public awareness by active work in the community, informed use of media, political representation and by all other available means.
