First Diamond Ring

This image shows prominences and a bright diamond ring as the moon starts to cover the sun. The image is in fact from the same negative as the first image, the difference is due entirely to the printing process. One bright prominence can be seen at the edge of the sun to the right and two smaller ones can be seen at the top left.
