SUPAGEN

SUPAGEN is the successor of NEWGEN; it is a suite of programs for genealogists/family historians.

SUPAGEN is a GEM application for the Atari ST(E) which allows you to record data on an unlimited  number of people and their relationships. You can display (or print or save): drop line trees, lists of descendants, birth briefs, family groups as well as lists of people selected by name (using wild cards) and sorted in various ways. It has a facility for importing data from a a GEDCOM file or exporting selected data to such a file.

It enables you to record the date and place or birth baptism, death and funeral of each person as well as the date, place and status of each or up to 16 marriages for each person. It also allows you to record a note of unlimited length for each person which may contain tags for a variety of items of information.

It also allows you to record your references to the sources of the information you have for each such event and this is facilitated by a number of database programs which enables you to store information gleaned from parish registers, the IGI, GRO calendar references and certificates, wills, memorial inscriptions and others.  The data therein can be listed and sorted in a variety of ways. There is also a program which will list every reference to a name in any of these data bases.  This can also be called from within SUPAGEN so that you can automatically transfer data in the data bases to SUPAGEN records.

SUPAGEN is still under development - watch these pages.
