Three things that we are or have because we are a Christian:

1. We are totally forgiven
1 John 1:6-9; Ephesians 1:7.
Because of Jesus' death on the cross, we are totally forgiven - He has clothed us with a robe of righteousness.

Personal challenge: Ephesians 4:32. God has forgiven us. We need to be kind to each other and forgive others as well.

2. We have freedom
Luke 4:18; John 8:32; Galatians 5:1
We are sometimes trapped by situations, and held prisoner to things we do not want to do - habits for example. Jesus wants to set us free so we can enjoy God.

Personal challenge: 1 Peter 2:16. Do not your freedom as a cover for wrong doing, but live as a servant of God.

3. We have the favour of God
Favour or blessing. We have the privilege of living in the presence of God, and have His promise that we will live with Him for ever.

Personal Challenge: The 'recipe' for the presence/blessing of God is:

1. Worship Him - Exodus 23:35
2. Put God first in your life - Matthew 6:33

The overall challenge is that we need to give away all that we have received!

• Forgive others freely
• Live in freedom to serve God
• Give away the blessing of God
