About
The
higher board:
After
reviewing the statute of the
Arab engineers union, and the Internal regulation of the union, and the
minutes of the meeting of the higher board of the Arab engineers in its
(46th) normal session held in Baghdad on 28/2/1992 decided:
Article
(1): According to the provisions of this decision a center shall be
established called (Engineering information center).
Article
(2): The main seat of the center be in Tripoli – Great Jamahiria other
branches of the center can be established by a decision of the higher
board of the union that determines the places and specialties of each of
them.
Article
(3): The center is subjected to the valid regulation in the country of
the main seat.
Article
(4): The center is specialized in the following:-

collecting, saving, and depositing information engineering
documents or documents work according to the modern basics and technical
ways, and make it accessible.

Counting the engineers, faculties, institution, centers,
factories, companies, offices, industrial establishments in engineering
fields.

Preparing the periodic, researches, studies, developing the
engineering dictionaries and translating books and engineering
information’s to Arabic language.

Starting the investment activities necessary to give services to
the workers in the engineering field or to those interested in this
field in a way that secures a suitable profit which enables it to offer
the best services.
Article
(5): The center shall undertake the actions which enables him to carry
out the following:

The cooperation with the scientific institutions and the
information banks in the engineering knowledge fields, and in the other
fields

Holding the training courses
-
Taking the necessary procedures to establish the center and carry
out the work related to its activity.
Article
(6): The administration of the center shall be held by an administrative
board formed as follows:
1.
Chairman of the Arab engineers union. Chairman
2.
The secretary of the center. Member
3.
The vice-secretary of the center. Member
4.
Deputy of the general secretariat of the Arab engineers union.
Member
5.
Decision of the information and publishing committees of the
union. Member
