'Hamlet Green'

Mauve (H2) flowers, Aug-Sep, with yellowish grey green foliage turning orange/yellow/green in winter. A very unusual and distinctive foliage cultivar. Found as a seedling in his garden by Albert Turner, 'The Hamlet', Hall Green, Birmingham, England, and hence the name. Ht. 26-30cm. Spd. 46-60cm.

Found in the New Forest, Hampshire, England this deservedly popular cultivar is now over 70 years old and is named after the director of the then famous Maxwell & Beale nursery.
