'Karin Blum'

White flowers, Aug-Oct, with yellow orange foliage throughout the year. Low but upright habit. Named after Herman Blum, the finder's, second daughter. Ht. 16-20cm. Spd. 31-45cm.

'Kermit'

Numerous white flowers, Aug-Sep, with yellow green foliage becoming more green in autumn. The foliage is tipped white in spring. Broad, upright habit. It differs from 'Westerlee Green' in having a broader habit and the foliage is greener in autumn. Ht. 26-30cm. Spd. 46-60cm.

'Kerstin'

Mauve (H2) flowers, Aug-Sep, with downy deep lilac grey foliage in winter colourfully tipped pale yellow and red in spring. Strong upright grower. Very hardy. A deliberate sowing by Brita Johansson of Vargön, Sweden and named after her daughter. Brita painted the wonderful front cover to this book. Ht. 26-30cm. Spd. 31-45cm.

'Kinlochruel'

Pure white double flowers, Aug-Sep, with bright green foliage, bronzing in winter. Spectacular plant, certainly one the best widely available double whites. Found by Brig. E. J. Montgomery at Kinlochruel, Colintraine, Argyll, Scotland as a sport on 'County Wicklow'. Progeny: 'White Coral'. Ht. 21-25cm. Spd. 31-45cm.

'Kirby White'

White flowers, Aug-Sep, with mid-green foliage with yellow tips in spring. Like all spring -tip Calluna prune in October for best spring effect. Outstanding. Introduced by J. Haigh's Kirby Nursery, Isle of Man. Ht. 46-60cm. Spd. 46-60cm.

'Kirsty Anderson'

'Kuphaldtii'

Lavender (H3) flowers, Aug-Sep, with wiry dark green foliage turning reddish in winter and spring. Prostrate habit forming a neat carpet. Found on Oldenburg Moors, Germany by Herr Gartendirektor Kuphaldt of Berlin, Germany. Ht. 10-15cm. Spd. 31-45cm.

'Kynance'

Lilac pink (H11) flowers, Aug-Oct, with dark green foliage. Neat ground hugging plant. Flowers slightly darker and foliage slightly thicker and different colour from 'Roma' and 'Mullion'. Named after the area where found in Cornwall, England. Ht. 16-20cm. Spd. 46-60cm.
