A red bud-bloomer, Sep-Dec, with dark green foliage. Broad spreading habit. Sport from 'Marleen'. It withstands early frosts better than 'Alexandra' and flowers a little longer but generally not quite as showy or as red. Progeny: 'Anka'; 'Bella Rosa', 'Bonita'; 'Christin'; 'Manuel'; 'Sphinx'. Ht. 26-30cm. Spd. 46-60cm.
