'Rebecca's Red'

'Red Carpet'

Mauve (H2) flowers, Aug-Sep, with gold foliage in summer turning an intense orange/red in winter. This cultivar was grown for 7 years before naming during which time it remained completely prostrate. After naming, it started producing some more erect shoots. It is best described as having a semi-prostrate habit but it is still a distinct improvement on 'Golden Carpet' and 'John F. Letts' for winter foliage colour. Ht. 16-20cm. Spd. 31-45cm.

'Röding'

Crimson flowers, Sep-Oct, with mid-green foliage. Upright habit. An un-named plant (which had been imported from Denmark) purchased about 1980 in a flower-shop at Vargön by Mrs Brita Johansson. It was named by Mrs Johansson by 1995 and introduced in 1995 by Henry Olofsson, Ödsby Nursery, Munkedal, Sweden. The Swedish word röding means "something red", an allusion to the flower colour.
