'Brian Proudley'

White flowers freely borne, Nov-Apr, in long racemes with bright green foliage. Vigorous, erect habit. Outstanding. Possibly a seedling raised by J.W. Porter which was introduced by Brian Proudley as f. alba. In 1978 this outstanding plant was given a cultivar name in recognition of the work Brian Proudley had done for heathers. Ht. 75-100cm. 'Brightness'

'Ewan Jones'

Shell-pink (H16) flowers, Mar-May, with lime-green foliage in summer, turning yellow in winter. In high magnesium soils it stays lime-green, becoming vigorous and attaining twice the height quoted. Named after the eldest son of Diane Jones and the late Bert Jones, leading authorities on heathers. Ht. 46-60cm. Spd. 61-75cm.

'Golden Lady'

Sparse white flowers, Feb-Apr, with golden yellow foliage throughout the year. Slow growing. Subject to severe windburn in cold windy sites. Sport from 'W.T. Rackliff' to which it sometimes reverts particularly if planted in a harsh site. Ht. 26-30cm. Spd. 31-45cm.

'Irish Salmon'

Salmon (H15) buds opening to clear rose pink (H7) flowers, Dec-May, with mid-grey green foliage. Open habit. More tender than 'Irish Dusk' with which it has been confused in the past. It was found at the same time as 'Irish Dusk'. Ht. 46-60cm. Spd. 31-45cm.

'Thing Nee'

Pink flowers (H8), Feb-May, with bright golden foliage throughout the year. The foliage colour is much more gold than 'Golden Lady' from which it was a seedling deliberately sown by Barry Sellers in 1984. The habit is similar to 'Golden Lady' and can withstand cold winds better. Named after a friend of Barry Sellers and is pronounced 'Ting Knee'. Ht. 75-100cm. Spd. 75-100cm.

'W.T. Rackliff'
