It's made of brass. It's manufactured, not hand-crafted, so there must have been a fair number made. Closed, it stands about 6½" high (155mm).
Between points it spans from 1½" closed to 4½" (40mm to 115mm). The ends of the thin brass rods are bent over at a slightly more acute angle than a right-angle, and are sharp, like the point of a panel pin.
Open, it's big enough to pick up one of the original Wagon Wheels
