The poem " The Absent Minded Beggar" was commissioned by the Daily Mail and was sold in numerous forms to raise money for "The Absent Minded Beggar Relief Fund". An American edition was published by Brentano's of New York, probably for less altruistic motives. The Daily Mail also produced a folding three panel version in paper and on silk for sale at public performance of the poem. A further facsimile reproduction of the original manuscript was produced by Ridgways Limited of London. Various satirical versions also appeared during 1900.

 16pp. Including covers. Illustrated.
