American H0 Layout.

Hazel Grove and District Model Railway Society.

As the title may suggest, we have not as yet come up with a name for our H0 club layout. But, given that the Chessie Systems railroad on which the layout is based covers most of the east coast of the USA, goes as far north as the southern borders of Canada and as far south as Florida we have more than enough names to conjure with. I suppose that it could be called the Big C or the Black Cat as a stylized cat in a letter C is the logo of that railroad network.

The eight boards that form the main sections of the layout are virtually complete and track laying has begun on the lower fiddle yard. Progress has been slower than I anticipated due mainly the somewhat complex nature of each board. They are all of a split level design and the internal bracing took longer to make. Each board will have its own supports and these are also nearing completion.

Track laying should not pose too many problems as the main line is single track with passing loop on the lower front section with various sidings for industries at different points along the layout.

Memories of Middlehurst.
