Magazine and Library.

Magazine.

The club has a quarterly magazine entitled the Hazel Grove Chord. It contains News, Views and articles on a variety of subjects. The main source of these is the club membership, but articles from external sources have made their way onto the "Chord" pages.

The name is derived from a rail link that was added some ten years ago, between two lines that cross but did not join at Hazel Grove. The banner on the magazine is a loose graphical representation of this rail interchange.

Library.

The club has a small library of between 50 to 100 books and Video tapes.

The books range from those that specialise on, for example, private owner wagon liveries, through history books to general interest photo collections.

The video collection represent a good cross section of the the railway videos currently available in UK shops.

The librarian is Doug Tattersall. He makes no charges for items borrowed except new videos. There is a severe problem in the lack of storage space, which is resulting in some damage to the books. This is hopefully being addressed.
