Crutchley’s Guidelines

  1. Choose a star striker.
  2. Do you want a second star forward as your second forward? If so, go to A below.
  3. If not, do you want a medium priced forward as your second forward? If so, go to B below.
  4. If not, choose a cheap forward as your second forward? If so, go to C below.

    Cheap Midfielders

    Cheap Defenders

    Cheap Goalkeepers

  2. Compile short lists of the following:

    3. Medium priced Forwards

    Medium priced Midfielders

    Cheap Midfielders

    Star Defenders

    Cheap Defenders

    Cheap Goalkeepers

  3. Compile short lists of the following:

    4. Cheap Forwards

    Star Midfielders

    Medium priced Midfielders

    Cheap Midfielders

    Star Defenders

    Medium priced Defenders

    Cheap Goalkeepers.

    5. Break the lists down into the relevant positions and how much you want to spend on each position in total. Then choose four or five of those that you can’t do without. Then select the remainder of your team to take up the remainder of your money.

    6. Remember and choose a team name.
