Dec 10 1998 — An old political tactic, used when an administration
becomes too corrupt and the state begins to fall apart, is to start a war.
This diverts the attention of the populace to an outside enemy. The real
problem (the inept administration) is forgotten, and the corrupt stay in
power at the cost of the blood of the people.
The west coast leaders have adopted a similar tactic (see VNN story "N.A.
Leaders Propose Blacklisting Ritviks"). The state is in chaos;
Temples across the USA are practically empty. Atlanta's buildings have
been condemned by the city. Russia is a mess; Germany and the rest of
Europe are practically empty. Harikesa and his cash have dried up and he
has moved to the Riviera. The leaders have no idea how to save the
situation, what to speak of how to return ISKCON to the thriving movement
that Srila Prabhupada left us with.
To divert everyone's attention from this mess, they have started an anti-
ritvik war. They'll try to convince you that the enemy is the ritvik, and
he must be purged to save us. But the GBC is not just the ultimate
managing authority when they want to kick your butt out of the movement
you gave your heart, soul, money and energy to -- they are also ultimately
responsible for letting everything deteriorate to the present deplorable
state.
Everyone's help is needed to put the pieces back together. To declare war
against our own Godbrothers and Godsisters may seem politically expedient,
but it is ultimately a foolish proposal that will corrode ISKCON all the
more.

The ISKCON gurus since 1978 have had many problems well known to you all,
which we do not want to enumerate here. Actually these are not problems,
but symptoms of artificial guru systems that our Founder Acharya never
authorized. There was the Divide Up the World for Ourselves system (Zonal
Acharyas), the Everybody Wants to be a Guru Sometime system ( M.A.S.S.),
the Half Baked Guru, the Rasika Guru, the Humble Guru, the Indian Guru,
the Downsized Guru, etc. The
names have changed over the years but all the twists and permutations of
the guru business boil down to this: A.B.P.
ANYONE BUT PRABHUPADA
All
the concominant laws, politics, papers, denigrating classes, bannings and
outright beatings are for one thing: to make sure no one becomes a
desciple of Srila Prabhupada. Accept anyone else as your guru and you are
ok in the eyes of the A.B.P.'s, but try to become a desciple of Srila
Prabhupada and they call you a sinful demon fit to be fed to the lions.
ISKCON's A.B.P.s spend a huge ammount of energy and money, even recruiting
outsiders to stop Srila Prabhupada from becomming anyones guru.This is the
root of the problem.

TEN STEPS TO BECOME SPIRITUAL MASTER |
Let
us review Srila Prabhupada’s ten lessons in this famous verse.
So, you want to become a spiritual master? Step right up! Open your
Caitanya Caritamrta to Madya Lilya chapter 7,verse 128.

Q: Should I book a ‘round the world ticket?
A: No need! 1) STAY AT HOME
Q: Do I have to be a Sanskrit scholar?
A: No! 2) CHANT HARE KRISHNA, READ BHAGAVAD GITA AND SRIMAD
BHAGAVATAM AND TEACH OTHERS TO DO THE SAME.
Q; What austerities should I perform?
A: 3) REFRAIN FROM MEAT EATING, INTOXICATION, ILLICIT SEX AND
GAMBLING.
Q: Should I take sannyasa?
A: It is not necessary. 4) “EVERY PERSON MUST GET MARRIED.
EVERY WOMAN ESPECIALLY.”
Q: If there is a shortage of men, what is a lady to do?
A: “IF WOMEN OUTNUMBER MEN, TAKE MORE THAN ONE WIFE. THIS WILL STOP
ILLICIT SEX.”
Q: But how will I stay out of maya? Must I move to a holy place?

THE GUIDANCE OF THE LORD’S REPRESENTATIVE, MATERIAL LIFE WILL NOT TOUCH
YOU, NO MATTER WHERE YOU LIVE, AT A HOLY SPOT OR IN A WESTERN CITY.
Q: Ok, how shall I support myself?
A: Let us see the next verse. #130 6) THERE IS NO NEED TO
CHANGE YOUR STATUS OR LOCATION. KEEP YOUR JOB. “ONE MAY REMAIN A
HOUSEHOLDER, MEDICAL PRACTITIONER, ENGINEER OR WHATEVER.”
Q: This is great! Now that I am a spiritual master, am I as good as God?
Am I an uttama adikari?
A: Read the purport please. 7) BECOME MEEK AND HUMBLE. “ONE
SHOULD NOT TRY TO BE AN ARTIFICIALLY ADVANCED DEVOTEE THINKING “ I AM A
FIRST CLASS DEVOTEE”
Q: What about my disciples? Should they do my guru puja daily? Should I
open a bank account for my guru daksine? Do I get a Vyasasana?

Q: He really says not to make disciples??

What Is The Crime? |

Feb 27 1999 — As the GBC prepare to punish those who utter the ritvik word, one should question: What was the heinous crime committed? Since the persons named all have excellent records of service to ISKCON, this question is essential.
THE PROBLEM SOLVERS
In his London report on the 1999 GBC meetings, Bhakta Tirtha Swami revealed that the biggest problem facing the GBC is the guru problem. ISKCON has serious guru problems. Many devotees have networked for years to solve ISKCON's guru problems before these problems crippled the society. They found evidence that Srila Prabhupada wanted deputies to initiate on his behalf, that this was perfectly sastric and even followed today by other sampradayas. These devotees sincerely concluded that by putting Srila Prabhupada back in the center as ISKCON's founder, acharya, initiating spiritual master, the guru problem could be solved. They should be applauded for their valiant efforts. What was their crime?
ISKCON LAW
Over the past 15 years the guru elect, which are 90 percent of the GBC, have enacted laws making it a crime to question their position. They absolutely hold their elected guru seat until they fall off it, and any complaints as to their validity are cruelly dealt with. Their legislation, in effect says that to state that SRILA PRABHUPADA, THE FOUNDER ACHARYA OF ISKCON, IS ISKCON's GURU IS A CRIME IN THE SOCIETY THAT ISKCON's GURU, SRILA PRABHUPADA CREATED. The guru elect voted that the only solution allowed for the guru problem is themselves - the same people who created the problem. And if you see any corruption in this madness- keep your mouth shut. You may be breaking ISKCON law.
More and more spiritual seekers want to become disciples of Srila Prabhupada. And why not? He is the best spiritual master. For that they are forced to go outside of the society Srila Prabhupada created. That is a real crime.
