JAMES COLLINS
MUSIC RECORDING, MIXING AND PRODUCTION

A brief history....

James began work as a tape-op at Lansdowne studios, London, in 1989. He gained a great deal of experience in recording and mixing techniques from Lansdowne's wide-ranging roster of clients. He moved to CTS studios, Wembley in 1993 as a house engineer where an array of differing musical projects from, pop and rock 'n roll, to, orchestral, TV & film, jazz, and voice-over work honed James' skill as a diverse and adaptable recording and mix engineer.

Now working as a freelance engineer, having recorded in many different studios, James is adept at programming and mixing in "project" environments. However he still maintains the orchestral and "where-to stick-a-mic" techniques learnt from over 18 years experience of recording some of the best musicians, in the best studios, in the world.
