King John's House.

Romsey lies some 10 miles north of Southampton in Hampshire. The town is famous for its Norman Abbey and Broadlands the home of The Mountbatten family. The town lies on the river Test, which is a well known trout river. For the visitor the parking facilities in the town are poor, There are very few car parks, (Broadlands has its own ample car park) most are filled in the week by office workers. There is a station on the Southampton to Salisbury line, however the station is 10 minutes walk from the town centre. There are regular bus services from Southampton apart from Sundays when the service is sparse. Irregular services run to Eastleigh and Winchester. Shopping can be expensive in certain shops however others are very reasonably priced.
