A carving resulting from a strange root form presented by an upturned tree bole. Although the wood has not been identified, it gives a good finish, and interesting colour variations from reddish-brown to yellowish-green. The resulting sculpture is largely a product of development of a theme presented directly by the natural forms in the growing tree.

This carving is not for sale, but it is a good example of the way that I try and utilise the  natural wood  form, structure and colour in  my sculptures.

A movie  (375Kb) is available for this sculpture which gives a better three-dimensional impression.
