We do not sell anything that we would not wish to own ourselves

The Laurie Shop
Tartan and kilts are synonymous with Scotland, though historically more commonly worn only by Highland clansmen and women. Since the 19th century, all Scots, as a visible means of national identity and pride, have adopted tartan and the kilt as their own.
We are delighted to offer you the chance to purchase your own made-to-measure kilt (feileadh beag) or if you prefer, enough tartan yardage to pleat your own unstitched great kilt (feileadh mhor).
We also stock a variety of clothing in pure new wool or silk in the tartan of your choice and a range of sporrans, belts, jackets and other accessories to suit all tastes and budgets.
As do all Scots, we believe in value for money, but we will not compromise on quality.
Those strict personal standards motivated us to seek out and work with persons who are highly skilled and take exceptional pride in their craft. Our weaver Kenneth and Margaret our kiltmaker are following established family traditions (that span the generations) in their respective crafts. Janet whose sporrans we also feature, is the bespoke sporran maker to two famous Scottish regiments, the Black Watch and the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders.
