Whatever interpretation you put on Burns' quote, you will not fail to appreciate Laurie's Black Tam and Wee Tam whiskies. Not for anything is whisky known in gaelic as Uisge Beatha - water of life.

Water from the burn of Auchinderran in the heart of the highlands is used by the local distillery to produce our whisky. That very same water source also provided the distillery with its only source of power until 1969 when its steam engine, having operated continuously 24 hours a day since 1898, finally gave out.

A small drop of water may also enhance your pleasure when drinking Laurie's Black Tam whisky. With a character worthy of its name, this incomparable single malt is aged for 14 years in sherry casks to give it a dark golden colour and a sweet full-bodied flavour. We know that you will enjoy the rich velvet texture with its nuances of oak, nut and spice and will appreciate the subtle art of the master distiller which has been captured in this bottle.

From the same distillery as Black Tam, Laurie's Wee Tam is also highly regarded. Aged for 10 years in oak selected casks, its pale golden colour and delicate smooth flavour has an edge of sweetness and hints of fruit. This excellent whisky is also available in a miniature bottle, which is ideal for sporrans and hot toddies.
