The Railway Path

Looking towards Bath. This short stretch of trackbed remains - now isolated in the middle of a roundabout whose roadbed crosses the formation beyond the orange fencing and behind the camera. The course of the tramway crosses here at a shallow angle. The new road eats into the left hand side of the cutting ahead, its onward course will obliterate the high three arched bridge that crosses the cutting here. This is Syston Common, and there may even be geese ...
