George Loosemore of Tiverton (c1500-1561), wool merchant, owner of Manors ot Templeton and Aller Peverell, totalling 2,500 acres.
John Loosemore, mariner of Tiverton ,captured and imprisoned in 1596 by a Spanish General. On his release he travelled to Poole, Dorset and was given horses to ride to London to report to Lord Cecil, the Secretary of State, on the destruction of the Spanish Fleet at Cape Finisterre by south westerly gales.

Sgt. Arnold Loosemore V.C. of Sheffield (1896 - 1924). Awarded Victoria Cross 14th September 1917 for conspicuous bravery and initative with utter disregard of danger.
Peggy Loosemore Jones of Barnstaple (1921 - 1988) Author, musician and minor poet.

Samuel Loosemore (1791 - 1837) of Bramford Speke. Soldier 88th Regt. of Foot. Served in Peninsular war etc.
William Henry Loosemore (1842) of Rose Ash. Gold miner of Gympie, Australia. With others shared a huge dividend when a rich patch of gold was found.

Revd. John Loosmore (1859 - 1951) of Swansea. Congregational Minister Bolton - later Eastwood, Nottingham.
Harry Loosemore (1895 - 1969) of Membury. Emigrated to Canada. Served in both world wars. WW1 with Canadian Corps at Vimy Ridge. W.W.2. with Canadian Scottish Reserve.
John Loosemore (1811 - 1901) of Burrington. Emigrated to Canada with 10 children. Wentworth County, Barton Township
George Loosemore (1860 - --) of Atherington. Visited with a team of Sportmen and then remained in Canada. Moved to Skanee, Michigan and took up an homestead.
