Obituary for Mary Lornie

Mrs. Mary M. Lornie, aged 75, who had been ill six months died Sunday in William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak. She had made her home at 216 West Chesterfield, Ferndale, for 42 years.
Mrs. Lornie was born Feb. 16, 1892, in Perth, Scotland. Her husband, James died Oct. 4 1966.
Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Helen Mann of Perth.
The Rev. Peter A. Lundell, Drayton Avenue Presbyterian Church, Ferndale, will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m., Tuesday, at the Spaulding and Curtin Funeral Home, 500 West Nine-Mile, Ferndale. Internment will be in Oakview Cemetery.

Obituary for James Lornie

James Lornie, aged 78, a resident of 216 West Chesterfield, Ferndale, for 43 years, died today, after a nine month illness, in William Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak.
Mr. Lornie was a dyer for Gross Cleaners, Detroit, for 23 years, until his retirement in 1957 when the company closed. He was born Sept. 19, 1888, in Perthshire, Scotland.
Surviving are his wife, Mary, to whom he was married on Aug. 12, 1916, in Highland Park; and seven brothers and sisters, David, Andrew, Mrs. David Beat and Mrs. John Donaldson, all of Perthshire; and Robert, Mrs James Pheasant and Mrs James Shea, all of Vancouver, B.C., Can.
The Rev. Canon Charles Jatho, rector emeritus of St John's Episcopal Church, Royal Oak, will conduct funeral services at 3 p.m., Thursday, at the Spaulding and Curtin Funeral Home, 500 West Nine-Mile, Ferndale. Burial will be in Oakview Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m., Wednesday.
