One of the pleasures - and I mean pleasures - of being an author is the mail I get from all over the world. Writing’s rather lonely work; there’s just you and that blank sheet of paper, or these days a monitor screen. Authors don’t have offices and colleagues, and unlike actors or politicians, we don’t have a gallery to play to. It’s especially pleasant, therefore, to make some contact with the real people out there who are kind enough to buy our books. In other words, feel free to drop me a line. I hope I’ll be able to reply to everyone in good time; but my actual writing, of course, has to come first. So please be patient!
